WHAT'D YOU DO TODAY?
Had a sweet, quiet morning and after coffee, packed up and said our (reluctant) goodbyes to Joshua Tree.
Stopped by at Scottsdale, AZ at a nice little cafe where we had some wifi to upload journals + other website stuff and I got to say hi to an old friend after TOO MANY YRS!!!
After a minute we ate some dinner and made our way to our next campground, we expertly set up our tents, sleeping bags and sleeping pads and went to bed.
HOW YAH FEELIN?
Being back in Scottsdale is always a little strange, especially after not visiting for some time. Weirder that the city is exactly how I remembered it, as if frozen in time, but definitely a little distorted? Warp...y?
Great, great pals though, good food, lots of soccer moms.

WHAT'D YOU DO TODAY?
Woke up in beautiful Joshua Tree, wishing we had time to stay longer. I was able to explore around our campground for a bit before we had to leave which was nice (but not enough).
We packed up (which I have to say, we've gotten very good and fast at doing), and got on our way.
There is a lot of nothing land in this country.
Later in the afternoon we made it to Arizona where we met Sahm's awesome friend Haley (who showed up rocking our sticker on her laptop <3)!
After doing some work and closing down the coffee shop, we had dinner and back to the road.
A few hours later we were in Catalina State Park ready for bed. And just as quickly as we learned to pack up, we've gotten equally fast at setting up.
Shortly after we were in deep sleep.
HOW YAH FEELIN?
Drives are passing faster than I expected. I do wish that I was getting more done on the road as far as work goes, but it's hard to do, especially after a driving shift.

From Joshua Tree to Catalina State Park with a whole lotta ground in between.
WHAT'D YOU DO TODAY?
Woke up to a beautiful blue sky over Joshua Tree. We had another spiltmilk. morning of coffee and oatmeal before heading south and over to Arizona. I wish we’d had more time, but since we weren’t sure how far we needed to go today, we kind of had to head out because we still have a lot of ground to cover over the next couple days.
We met one of Sahm’s old friends in Phoenix to get some work done and plan the next couple days.
We took off later than expected and got to our next campground in Catalina State Park in the dark. We’re getting real good at set up though. Lightening fast.
HOW YAH FEELIN?
Feeling pretty sluggish and like I need more time in these parks. The camping’s amazing, but almost just like a lil teaser.
