WHAT'D YOU DO TODAY?
Today was supposed to be an explore-the-city day, but it was more of a speedy-museum-visit-peek-at-the-Bean-through-a-car-window-as-we-drove-through-downtown-and lots-of-coffee-kind-of-day.

MCA and the Murakami exhibit was Very cool though. His process and his production studio was absolutely insane. I loved how Murakami kind of pokes fun at the elitism/pretentiousness that's sometimes connoted with the fine arts. All in all, a fun exhibition to walk through and explore.

Morning coffee from Dollop, and afternoon coffee brought to us by New Wave Coffee from Logan Square. Dinner from a sandwich shop that played Radiohead on repeat.

HOW YAH FEELIN?
Blaaargh I don't know what it is, but I've been feeling so exhausted by the time the clock hits 3. Maybe it's the combination of really late nights, early mornings, and drinking too much coffee too fast. Eh.

Woke up to zero alarms :)

Excitedly got ready to go to the design museum only to find out that it’s closed for renovation :(

But all is well because we went to the contemporary art museum instead.

The drivers here are kind of crazy. I feel as though I can do anything now that I’ve successfully driven in Chicago for a few days.

I did have a stressful parking situation today in the middle of a busy street. Said a lot of “fuck” → “Fuck this” “Fuck you” “Oh fuck” “Fuck fuck fuck”

Unfortunately parking was a limited two hour zone. So we had to time ourselves in the museum.

We got to see the Takashi Murakami exhibit which was so incredibly surreal. The detail, the scale, the color, the PROCESS. Everything about it was out of this world.

Because of parking, we had to quickly skim through the rest of the museum, but so worth it.

After going back and forth on what we should do next, we decided to sit in a coffee shop to catch up on journals (oops, really behind).

We got dinner and thought about going to watch a movie.

Didn’t want to wait for an hour and a half to went back home instead.

HOW YAH FEELIN?
Extremely tired and sore today. Nearly fell asleep a few times and my back is really aggravated.

WHAT'D YOU DO TODAY?
Slept in for a second and spent quite a while reading. Today’s our off day so we eventually packed up and headed off the Musuem of Contemporary Art. Parking was a bajillion dollars though so we only had two hours, which for us is very not enough time. It was very cool while it lasted though. Museums always poop me out though, I think these two too so we just sat in the car for a while before heading back over to Logan Square to work in New Wave for basically the rest of the day. Grabbed yummy sandwiches for dinner, debated seeing a movie and ultimately headed home.

HOW YAH FEELIN?
Too tired for what we did today. We really don’t do a ton in the cities we visit. It’s got me a little bummed today. I’m having a hard time working when we sit down because it feels like all we do. We drive and we work and we see a contemporary art museum when we have time. It’s okay. I don’t know how else to do it. I’m just tired and restless.

Realizing I’m ending the day doing a lot of wanting.
